What are we doing?! Day after day most of us give our energy to places, people, and things that don't give it back and call it a living. I get it, why question a system others would die for when bills are paid, the fridge is full, and you can still have your weekends? I'm not asking you to question the system, only clarify exactly what it is you want out of life and decide whether the system aligns or not. Comfort is a deceptive sense of achievement that justifies our reluctance to progress or set new goals. As Zach, aka Ghost, likes to reiterate, "To grow, we must find comfort in being uncomfortable."

It’s no coincidence that Zach serves as Double M's Chief Strategy Officer. He takes great pride in his ability to execute both inside and outside the studio. His experience in business and intentional movement allows him to not only see what Double M can become, but also identify each necessary milestone, possible roadblock, and essential personnel to bring that goal into fruition. Strategy is carried out, not broadcasted which is why many of you have yet to meet Zach and learn about what he does. Just know that a lot of our work in the community music-related or not is influenced by Zach's vision of a thriving DMV creative scene. He is a vital part of making sure our people eclipse comfort and strive for fulfillment!

I’m grateful to call Zach my brother. He has been instrumental in helping me clarify my purpose and understand what I am meant to do. Before I explored my values and how to contribute meaningfully, I often felt like I was just drifting along, as many of us do. As one of the founders of Double M Studios, Zach is dedicated to helping others as well.

A common excuse for complacency is a lack of resources, but that excuse is no longer valid. If you want to replace your means to an end with a sense of purpose—especially found in making music—consider becoming a member, attending an event, and getting to know our CSO.
