"Don't get too deep, it leads to overthinking, and overthinking leads to problems that don't even exist in the first place." — Jason Engay

Have you ever noticed that many, if not all, of our "problems" are self-imposed? We often give our issues more power than they deserve and convince ourselves that they are larger than they are. I am not downplaying the severity of anyone's life challenges; rather, I'm highlighting the trivial things we tend to overanalyze. If you're late for work, leave earlier. If you're out of shape, make an effort to move more if you can. Our emotional responses to straightforward solutions only delay what needs to be done. I'm proud of my friend Edgar for recognizing the pattern of neglect he had regarding his passion for music and look forward to helping him become an artist who moves more than he thinks.

I met Edgar while we were both attending audio engineering school in 2019. Even then, I recognized his untapped potential. Since then, he has gradually pursued his goal of becoming a full-time artist, often reaching out to me for advice on how to navigate his journey. Sometimes, it takes more than just words from others to motivate someone to pursue a dream, even if it’s a dream they claim to want. It was always evident that Edgar needed to find his confirmation of talent from within. Watching him finally recognize what others have seen in him for years has been inspiring. He is more confident now and is fully committed to his music.

Overall, what will ultimately contribute to Edgar's success as an artist is his relatability. We all experience a constant battle with our thoughts, trying to control, organize, and act on them—some more than others. Edgar is the perfect person to address this universal struggle. His soothing voice, combined with a wealth of material, promises to produce some of the best music you'll ever hear! Follow Edgar on Instagram at @‌laloxem, and look forward to the release of his first few songs in the coming months.
