You can’t simply copy someone else’s self-expression and expect to achieve the same results. We are not all created equal, and those differences are what makes each of us special. You become someone’s favorite artist when they discover a voice in your work that resonates with them in a way that no one else does. Attempting to mimic someone else’s message will inevitably place you in a secondary position. While you may lack where other artists excel, that’s the point. This principle applies to both sides. When we create from our unique perspectives, our stories will naturally differ, appealing to different groups of people. I've enjoyed watching Stunna pour more of herself into her music. She is beginning to create the kind of music I can’t find anywhere else because she's rapping from a place only she can draw from.
Stunna has always been unapologetically herself. Since the day she first stepped into Double M, she had on the flyest clothes, a Corona in hand, and a smile. By embracing her more vulnerable side over time, her music has taken on new dimensions. She’s no longer making music to do it, but because she has something meaningful to say. She's realizing that this thing she used to do for fun has turned into a genuine passion and potential career. Her growing relationship with Jamie has significantly influenced her sound. By aligning her lyrics and delivery with the energy of the production, she is consistently producing impactful records.
