Artists who struggle to identify their target audience often lack self-awareness or are hesitant to be vulnerable. Vulnerability is essential for relatability, as everyone is imperfect, and the audience you seek is often a reflection of your own experiences. If you can't express your feelings and experiences, potential audience members might not see themselves in your work, which can limit their support. For instance, Jason's first session with me consisted of ten percent writing and ninety percent therapy. While this can be uncomfortable for many, it's a crucial step in creating the timeless music we aim to produce.

After a conversation about our perspectives on past relationships, lyrics began to flow. Typically, he gears toward upbeat music, but this time we had the opportunity to slow down and reveal a different side of him that he tends to neglect, in my opinion. What I admire most is his willingness to explore different approaches. Instead of taking the safe route, he allowed me to contribute my ideas to his creative process, resulting in something distinct from his previous releases.

As we continue to create music, I’m excited to explore the different sides of Jason that have yet to be revealed. I believe there are more layers to his personality beyond what he typically showcases, which will help us connect even deeper with the message in his music.
