People talk a lot, which means you usually have other voices competing with your own, making true silence hard to find. For many, especially creatives, taking time to retreat and reflect can simplify the world, making it more beautiful and more inspiring. Janell Cruz, also known as Monday Class3s, is journeying to find her peace amid the noise. In doing so, she's developing a more profound sense of self and creating the most authentic music she's ever made.

Her subject matter explores themes that go beyond the surface. While universal ideas like love and self-worth weave throughout her catalog, she also uses her platform to address and protest current events disrupting her community. Playing it safe is not in her nature; she embraces the approach of "why have a platform if you can't use it for good?" She understands that music is not just about creating a vibe; it serves as a means to give a voice to the voiceless and hope to the hopeless. This is precisely why she will find success in this industry; her motivation comes from a desire to uplift others rather than seeking personal gain.

Having spent most of her life in California, she is now navigating new territory in Maryland. Adjusting to a different lifestyle and creative environment hasn't been easy, but she is finding her way. She believes that the slower pace of the DMV music scene, in contrast to Los Angeles, is beneficial for her creativity. She's finally able to hear herself without interruption. By finding Double M, she has discovered a community that prioritizes the bigger picture over profile pictures. The focus here is less on an individualistic "me, me, me" mentality, which she wasn't accustomed to in California. This shift has breathed new life into her art, and I look forward to helping her create in this new chapter of her life.
