Why haven't most adults, including myself, broken the habit of wanting without working? The process of achieving our goals is quite simple. First, define the goal. Then, if the steps aren’t already outlined, reverse engineer them to understand how to get there. So, why do we often focus on finding the quickest route rather than enjoying the journey? Comparison...

Every day, someone reaches their breakthrough moment. After years of self-doubt, endless second-guessing, and finally full commitment, they have reached their "I made it" or "I'm on my way" moment. Although this is a positive, it may also create the impression that such moments occur daily. This leads those who haven't reached that part of their journey to feel late or that they are doing something wrong. We need to start respecting our own paths again. Everyone has different aspirations; your goals are different from the next person's, and theirs are different from someone else's. Instead of measuring our own progress against others, we should view someone else's achievements as a sign that our own goals are possible.

Delayed gratification is interesting to me because the result is never as valuable if it’s rushed. You’ll miss the lessons, laughter, and love that come from putting in the work. It may seem like the world is speeding past you—people in your field making a lot of money, gaining notoriety, and living the lives they desire. However, always remember that what we see is just the outside. That’s not to say everyone is putting on a façade or that their lives offline are bad; I’m saying that we only see what they want us to see.

If you focus on yourself, your goals, and the reasons you've set them, I guarantee that when your reality matches what you envision, it will be the best version!
