You don’t need to be the best, just consistent and honest. Not too many artists more consistent than or able to “Speak Their Truth” quite like Billie Bob.
One of the first comments Billie made about the studio was the unmatched community and sense of home. A safe space to create with freedom from judgement or negative energy altogether. It took multiple failed attempts at finding such an environment in the past for him to realize that home isn’t something you find quickly, but something you build, come back to, and sustain overtime. Any urge to shortcut the process will generally have you feeling more cast out than before. I’m happy that Billie continues to build his home at Double M.

I admire his authenticity. No real desire to achieve the trophies or validation musicians are told will confirm their success. Completely focused on delivering what he deems valuable to the masses, nothing more. An approach we all could entertain from time to time.
