Try, fail, learn, and then try again! Opportunities in music are more abundant than ever. On the one hand, this means you have multiple creative outlets to express yourself; on the other hand, it means you have numerous creative outlets potentially distracting you from the outlet meant for you. It's those who limit the distractions who find their way.
Brianna Alexis knew her destination from day one: "This is what I do, where I'm trying to go, and where I'm currently at." This is not the typical response I get when asking newer artists about their intentions with music. Being honest with herself and optimistic about her future has made assisting with her career roadmap much easier.
The saying' Actions speak louder than words' has been used for years to weed out the fake in any given situation. Brianna, however, embodies this saying in her actions. She doesn't just talk about her dreams, she works relentlessly to achieve them. Before discussing end goals, she took a leap of faith and performed at RDI Nights 3 back in March, a risk she hadn't taken much of until then. Her self-confidence and courage to step out of her comfort zone are truly inspiring.
Aside from her work ethic, humility is one of Brianna's best qualities, both as an artist and a human being. She understands that talent alone is not enough to sustain a community, build a brand, or retain a spot at the top. Her eagerness to take risks, learn, and develop is the reason she will flourish.
