When developing a skill, consistency outweighs quality. For sure, you can look at someone doing what you want to do successfully and have an idea, but how do you know what quality looks like, sounds like, or feels like to you if you haven't done it yourself?

Every master was once a student. Instead of letting pride fog up our point of view, it is best to practice humility and accept that there is always room for improvement.
My first time hearing Cydel's name in conversation was the day he booked a strategy meeting with Dev, our studio's A&R, and our first time crossing paths was on the day of that same meeting. I've learned that if you lack data or information about someone you want to know more about, look at their actions. Cydel's actions make him out to be an artist willing to go the extra mile to max out his potential. A student of the game and someone to respect inside and outside of the studio.

Cydel's extensive discography of singles was the first thing to catch my attention. His track record shows consistency and the absence of a project at his stage lets me know that he's focused on the fundamentals that will make his future full-length release as impactful as he anticipates.
I've seen Cydel at the studio two or three times now to meet with Dev. Not for a sound critique, but to fortify previous sessions. I tribute his progress to persistence and desire to understand what it takes to achieve more than pretend he has already won.
